Catch a glimpse inside the lives of families living in educational freedom! This blog is a showcase of short, fun interviews of homeschooling families of all types from all over the United States and the world.
These festive, frisky, friendly and frolicsome interviews focus on freedom, flexibility and fun for families, for I feel this is what makes homeschooling flourish.
That, and I just like f-words.
Although this post is not about a homeschooling family, I could not resist sharing this video with everyone who reads this blog. This seemed to be a good time since it can serve as kind of a break before we move into the next 100 homeschooling family interviews.
This 'raw-footage' interview was uploaded on Pat Farenga's you tube channel and I just thought it provided such a nice overview of Holt and his ideas on education. Here's just one juicy quote:
"The model for school ought to be the family, not the factory."
I am married and have two children who were homeschooled through high school. They are married and out on their own now and I spend my time on a variety of freelance projects.

"School is a place where children learn to be stupid." I LOVE it!!! And couldn't agree more!
Ah, how wonderful! John Holt was our family's inspiration to homeschool 20 years ago!
